Molongi Trust is a community organisation providing general advice as it regards welfare benefits,
housing benefits, help, care and support in people’s homes on counselling and other social issues if needed. Molongi Trust will also give support to families who will share their experiences with others and facilitate learning to improve their lives.

Regulating charities offering complementary.
Today we published a summary of our case involving an organisation called Gerson Support Group, one of several cases we have opened examining the public benefit provided by charities offering complementary and ahemative medicine (CAM) therapies. The organisation was set up to relieve sickness and to preserve and promote good health by providing support to cancer patients and to advance public education in the “Gerson”.

We have long known anecdotally that the COVID-19 pandemic is having a profound impact on many charities. There have been many reports in the media over the lasl 18 months about charities hit by increased demand, about others struggling to fund their services as restrictions were imposed, and, ina few cases, we’ve heard of charities whose income sky-rocketed thanks to extraordinary fundraising efforts.

Campaign to end youth homelessness gains COVID-19.
RECENTLY, Minister for Homelessness, Rushanara Ali MP, was joined by more than 45 MPs at a parliamentary event calling for decisive action to end youth homelessness. Hosted by the #Plan for the l36k collective-which references the estimated number of homeless young people in 2022-3 – the event featured moving testimonies from young people with lived experiences of homelessness. They highlighted passionately.
